AAA Texas 500: Jimmie Johnson back on top with 3 races left

Jimmie Johnson and Brad Keselowski are neck-and-neck for the top of the Chase standings with only three races remaining.

Coming off a win at Martinsville last weekend, Jimmie Johnson sits atop the Chase for the Sprint Cup Standings and is poised for yet another title with only three races left on the schedule. Texas Motor Speedway is the site for the first of those three races, the AAA Texas 500, on Sunday.

Johnson hasn't had a Sprint Cup win on the Fort Worth track since 2007, but that one career win at Texas is more than his closest competition in the Chase, Brad Keselowski, who is just two points behind in the standings.

There's still plenty left to be decided with three races left, as Johnson, Keselowski, Clint Bowyer and Kasey Kahne are all within 29 points of the lead. Tony Stewart, currently 10th in the points race, won the fall race last year in Fort Worth. Greg Biffle (9th) won the Samsung Mobile 500 in Texas in April.

The AAA Texas 500 is set to start at 2:16 p.m. CT on Sunday and can be seen on ESPN.
