Ever since the Cowboys marched into MetLife Stadium and beat the New York Giants 24-17 to open the 2012 campaign, Dallas has struggled and the Giants have hit their stride. The Giants have won five of their last six, including a thrashing of the San Francisco 49ers in a rematch of last year's NFC Championship game.
Meanwhile, the Boys have lost three of their last five and will be without linebacker Sean Lee for the rest of the season after he tore the plantar plate in his right big toe against the Carolina Panthers last Sunday.
The Cowboys will probably have go without starting running back DeMarco Murray who is recovering from a sprained foot. Linebacker DeMarcus Ware is expected back in practice Friday after missing Wednesday and Thursday with a chest cold.
The Giants have some bumps and bruises of their own and could be without their starting running back as well. Ahmad Bradshaw missed practice Thursday because of a nagging foot injury.
With two seasons going in drastically different directions, it's not a surprise that most experts are picking the division-leading Giants to win the game. It's nearly a clean sweep over at ESPN for the Giants, the same goes for CBS. The experts over at Yahoo! don't see it any other way than the Giants picking up the win. CBS' local affiliate in New York gives the Giants the advantage in every aspect of the game except for special teams.
