The "indefinite" tag on Delonte West's indefinite suspension from Dallas Mavericks coach Rick Carlisle earlier this week has been defined as less than a day, as West has been reinstated and is available for the Mavs' preseason game with the Phoenix Suns Wednesday night. ESPN reported the lifting of the suspension.
West was suspended Tuesday following a reported locker room outburst after the Mavs' preseason win over the Houston Rockets. He averaged 9.6 points and 3.2 assists per game last season.
The status of Dirk Nowitzki for Wednesday night's game remains unknown as the former MVP is still resting a lingering knee injury. SB Nation Mavericks blog Mavs Moneyball doesn't like Dirk's chances to play, and writes that Wednesday night's game will provide a glimpse of the future for both the Mavs and Suns.
Dallas hosts Phoenix Wednesday night at 7:30 p.m. CT from American Airlines Arena. The game is available on TV locally on KTXA.
