The TCU Horned Frogs used 21 unanswered points in the fourth quarter to turn a close game into a blowout, beating Baylor 49-21 on Saturday night in Waco.
Baylor trailed TCU 14-7 coming out of the first half, with both teams trading touchdowns on five straight drives to open up the second half. Nick Florence would pass for two touchdowns in the third quarter to get the Bears to within 28-21 before the Horned Frogs took over.
After a Laderice Sanders 2-yard rushing touchdown gave TCU a 35-21 lead, Nick Florence would be intercepted by Kevin White, giving the ball back to TCU deep in their own territory. Trevone Boykin's pass to Josh Boyce just three plays later would effectively put the game away.
Box Score Hero: A week after costly turnovers doomed the TCU offense against Iowa State, Trevone Boyking threw four touchdowns and rushed for another. For the game, Boykin was 22-of-30 for 262 yards and four touchdowns, rushing for 64 yards on 17 carries.
Rankings Ramifications: TCU, which dropped out of the Top 25 last week, could get a bump back into the rankings following a big win on the road.
But Did They Cover? Baylor were 6.5-point favorites and did not come close to covering.
