TCU vs. Baylor: Horned Frogs lead Bears, 14-7, despite being out-gained in first half

With a 74-yard touchdown pass from Nick Florence to Terrance Williams just 26 seconds into the game, the Baylor Bears looked like they were in for an offensive explosion against the TCU Horned Frogs. However, they haven't managed to score since, despite gaining 191 yards of total offense in the first half.

Instead it was the Horned Frogs that scored twice, via a pair of touchdown passes from Trevone Boykin to Cam White to get out to 14-7 lead. Completing 11 of 17 passes, Boykin was efficient as he led TCU down the field on eight-play and 16-play touchdown drives.

The Bears though, shot themselves in the foot with three first half turnovers. Florence threw two interceptions in the first quarter, each in TCU territory, and a fumble by Jarred Salubi in the second quarter spoiled another scoring opportunity.

At halftime, Florence has completed 8 of 12 passes for 149 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions. The Bears out-gained the Horned Frogs, 209 yards to 187.
