The Baylor Bears have been driving the ball well against the TCU Horned Frogs, but the game remains tied at 7-7 through the first quarter. Nick Florence has thrown for 109 yards with a touchdown, but he's also tossed two drive-killing interceptions, which is the big reason that the Bears aren't out in front.
Florence has thrown for 70 more yards than Trevone Boykin of TCU, but that's mostly due to the fact that Florence hit Terrance Williams for a 74-yard touchdown on the team's opening drive. That was Baylor's only score thus far, and TCU managed to even it up off of the first of Florence's interceptions, which came on Baylor's second drive.
Florence was intercepted by Jason Vernett and it was taken to the TCU 45. Boykin led his team on an eight-play, 55-yard drive that ended in a TCU touchdown when he hit Cam White for an 18-yard strike. Baylor then took the ball and had a 14-play drive, but Florence was intercepted by Chris Hackett, just as Baylor was entering field goal range.
