The Kansas St. Wildcats scored the final nine points to end the first half and then proceeded to march down the field to score a touchdown at the the start of the third quarter. Kansas State quarterback Collin Klein was able to put Kansas on the board first in the second half by using his legs to get into the endzone on a 6-yard keeper to cut into the Arkansas lead to trail 19-16.
Each team exchanged punts before Arkansas was able to get their offense back in a groove. Arkansas went on a 10-play, 82-yard drive to extend the lead back to 10 points at 26-16. Arkansas quarterback Tyler Wilson completed five of seven passes for 56 yards and completed a 9-yard touchdown pass to Cobi Hamilton to give Arkansas a 10-point lead heading into the fourth quarter.
