The 2012 Cotton Bowl has been the exact opposite of the Alamo, Rose and Orange Bowls which lit up the scoreboard. Right now the Arkansas Razorbacks lead 10-0 through just over one quarter of play. These two teams average over 800 yards per game, but so far both teams have combined for under 60 yards so far in this game.
Arkansas got on the board first when Kansas State quarterback Coliln Klein was sacked and fumbled the ball. Arkansas's Ark Kody Walker recovered the ball at the Kansas State 13-yard line. Even with that great field position, Arkansas only managed three yards and settled for a 26-yard field goal.
The single touchdown of the game so far came when Kansas State was punting from their endzone and Joe Adams returned the punt 50 yards to help put Arkansas up 10-0.
