The Texas Longhorns have started off slow against the No. 7 Kansas Jayhawks and trail 39-27 at the half. Texas is shooting only 30 percent from the field and their best player J'Covan Brown has only four points on one of eight shooting. The first nine minutes of the first half were not kind to Texas as they trailed Kansas 22-7.
Texas did make a comeback and actually cut into the Kansas lead to trail only three points at 28-25, but then Kansas made another run and outscored Texas 11-2 to end the half. Kansas is shooting 60 percent so far and are led by Tyshawn Taylor who has scored 14 points so far.
Texas needs to be more consistent on offense and find a way to slow down the Kansas offense if they want to get back into this game.
