The No. 3 ranked Baylor Bears lost their second game in a row as they fell 89-88 to the No. 5 Missouri Tigers. Quincy Miller and Pierre Jackson led the way with 29 and 20 points for Baylor, but that was not enough to overcome Perry Jones III being held to eight points and the bench only contributing three points.
The game seemingly was over when Missouri increased their lead to 12 points with 5:10 to go in the game when English Kim hit a three-pointer to put Missouri up 76-64. Baylor made a comeback to cut the Missouri lead to four points, but Baylor could not get any closer than that until the last 27 seconds when they cut the lead to three points. However, Missouri was able to make their free throws down the stretch to hold off Baylor.
The difference in this game came down to the free throw shooting when Missouri made 10 of 12 in the last 54 seconds to hold of Baylor's comeback attempt.
