Monday's TicketCity bowl between Houston and Penn State offers an intriguing match up between the high powered passing attack of Case Keenum and Houston and the Nittany Lions' stingy pass defense.
Keenum holds the NCAA-record for touchdowns thrown with 152 but Penn State had the fifth best pass defense in the country averaging only 162.2 yards per game. The Nittany Lions only allowed nine passing touchdowns the entire season. Keenum threw nine touchdowns in one game in October against Rice.
Keenum has struggled in three bowl appearances totaling just three touchdown passes while throwing seven interceptions. Houston has only won one of their previous three bowl appearances.
Game date/time: Monday, January 2, 12:00 p.m. ET
Location: Cotton Bowl, Dallas, Texas
TV: ESPNU
Spread: Houston favored by seven points
