Texas Vs. Kansas State Final Score: Longhorns Come Up Short, Lose 84-80

The Texas Longhorns had their chances late thanks to some shaky free throw shooting by Kansas State but a late turnover saw their comeback bid fall just short as they fell to the Wildcats by a score of 84-80

Trailing 82-80, Texas had the chance to tie the game before Kansas State's Martavious Irving came up with a steal that led to a Rodney McGruder dunk to seal the win.

McGruder was huge for the Wildcats finishing with 33 points and eight rebounds. Jamar Samuels added 14 points while Will Spradling and Thomas Gipson finished with 11 points each.

J'Covan Brown scored 17 of his 22 points in the second half to lead the Longhorns. Sheldon McClellan added 19 points off the bench while Myck Kabongo finished with 14 points and 10 assists. Clint Chapman chipped in 11 points before fouling out late.
