The Texas Longhorns are hanging close and trailing Kansas State 43-42 at halftime in a tough Big 12 matchup. Longhorns coach Rick Barnes has to feel pretty good after his team shot 52 percent in the first half and only got five points from its leading scorer J'Covan Brown.

Myck Kabongo leads the way for the Longhorns with 11 points and five assists. Clint Chapman provided a spark off the bench with 11 points and three rebounds. Brown was quiet in the first half going 2-7 from the field for his five points.

Rodney McGruder has led a long distance shooting barrage for the Wildcats hitting 4-5 three point attempts for 16 points. Jamar Samuels added 12 as Kansas State hit 7-12 attempts from three point range in the first half.
