Baylor survived a fast start to the game by Kansas but couldn't overcome a 13-0 run to close the first half as the Jayhawks went on to hand the Bears their first loss of the season 92-74.
Perry Jones III led the Bears with 18 points and five rebounds. Quincy Miller added 17 points and Quincy Ash 14. Pierre Jackson chipped in 11 off the bench for the Bears who hit 46 percent of their shots but were out rebounded 36-21 in the game by Kansas.
Tyshawn Taylor scored a game-high 28 points and Thomas Robinson added 27 points and 14 rebounds. Elijah Johnson and Travis Relaford added 11 points each while Jeff Withey logged a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds. Kansas hit over 57 percent of its field goal attempts in the game.
