Oklahoma Vs. Florida State: Sooners Lead Seminoles 13-3 At Halftime

In somewhat of an ugly first half of play, the Oklahoma Sooners lead the Florida State Seminoles 13-3 at halftime.

The two top five teams have managed to combine for three first half turnovers, with both quarterbacks being the culprits. Heisman hopeful Landry Jones is 9-of-14 passing in the first half of play for 108 yards and an interception. Jones, though, did run for Oklahoma's lone touchdown.

Florida State's EJ Manuel has had a tougher time than Jones, going 8-of-14 for just 60 yards while throwing two interceptions.

Manuel, though, has been effective on the ground, rushing seven times for 43 yards, essentially accounting for Florida State's running game.

The Sooners had an opportunity late in the first half to extend their lead to 17-3, but had to settle for a field goal as the first half expired. After being set up with with a first-and-goal situation at Florida State's three yard line, Landry Jones threw an incomplete pass, followed by a two yard run and a holding penalty. Jones then threw an incomplete pass on third and goal, forcing the Sooners to kick a field goal as time expired in the first half.

Both teams will need to make halftime adjustments, but clearly, the onus is on the Seminoles to respond and make sure Oklahoma doesn't run away with the game.
