ESPN Dallas: Cowboys Will Look At Terrelle Pryor

Calvin Watkins of ESPN Dallas cites multiple sources saying that the Cowboys will attend a “pro day” workout by former Ohio State QB Terrelle Pryor in advance of his possible inclusion in a supplemental draft.

There is no guarantee the Cowboys would draft Pryor if he’s available because they have the ninth pick of the supplemental draft, which is set for Aug. 17. The pro day will be held in the Pittsburgh area, according to ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.

The Redskins and Browns are among the other NFL teams reportedly expected to attend the workout. The consensus seems to be that he is a mid-round prospect, but as we saw with Tim Tebow it only takes one team to fall in love.

The Cowboys have Stephen McGee as their developmental third quarterback, and they aren’t likely to cut Jon Kitna in mid-August, so Pryor would presumably need to convince them that he has a brighter future than McGee. They also brought in Tom Brandstater on a waiver claim this past week.
