C.J. Wilson, Rangers Look To Run Winning Streak To Three

C.J. Wilson gets the start for the Texas Rangers on Saturday night as the Rangers look for their third straight win as they play host to the Cleveland Indians

The Rangers found themselves in a 7-2 hole in the third inning facing Cleveland's new ace Ubaldo Jimenez on Friday night, but battled back, scoring two runs in the ninth on Michael Young's home run to tie it, before winning the game in the 11th inning on Josh Hamilton's infield single.

Wilson will look to pitch deep into the game tonight, as not only did Friday night's contest last 11 innings, but starting pitcher Derek Holland failed to escape the second inning. Wilson will look for his first win since July 16 against the Mariners. Wilson's numbers are still very good for the season, as he owns a 3.38 ERA, .241 BAA and 1.23 WHIP. Wilson has struck out 137 in 154.2 innings of work on the season as well.

Texas' offense will face off against Fausto Carmona. Carmona's ERA sits at an ugly 5.31, but his WHIP is more respectable at 1.37. Opponents are hitting .270 off of Carmona this season, and he's only struck out 68 in 123.2 innings this season - so expect plenty of balls in play tonight when the Rangers are at bat.

First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. CDT.
