Nelson Cruz pulled himself Monday night with his team up six because he felt a twinge in his groin. After the game he said that he couldn’t feel anything, but he just wanted to be careful.
I told Wash that I wanted to check on it. We were up by six runs and I didn’t think the team needed me right then. I didn’t want to take any chances. I felt it during the game.
The Rangers typically hold Cruz out for a few days after such an episode, but this one seems to be less serious than usual.
