C.J. Wilson Doesn't Like Pitching In Oakland And Doesn't Care Who Knows It

I hate pitching there. The mound sucks, the fans suck. There's no fans there.

I'd rather pitch here than in Oakland. I like the fans here a lot better, so you don't have to worry about me signing there after the season. They hate me there anyways so it doesn't matter. The players on their team hate me, whatever; I don't care.

I guess we know how C.J. Wilson feels about Oakland. There has been some concern expressed locally that the heat - and this is the worst summer in at least 31 years - in Arlington could motivate him to lean toward leaving via free agency this winter. At least we know he won't be sliding over to the A's.

He went on to discuss his popularity more broadly within the division, accepting that his rivals probably aren't going to like him.

I talked to [former Angels catcher Mike] Napoli about that, and he said he hated me when he played for the Angels.
