FC Dallas Top Alianza FC 1-0 in El Salvador For First CCL Win

Jackson Goncalves scored for FC Dallas in the 70th minute of their first CONCACAF Champions League tie, as the Texans carried a 1-0 advantage back home for the second leg of their qualifier with Alianza FC.

Alianza peppered Kevin Hartman early with persistent pressure, but the Dallas defense held strong against the barrage and a hard rain in San Salvadore until Goncalves scored the brilliant two-touch goal on the break. A win or draw on August 3 in Frisco will earn Dallas their first trip to the group stage in the CCL competition in their history.
