NCAA Baseball Regional Scores: Texas A&M Shuts Out Arizona To Win Trip To Super Regional

Aggie pitching came through Tuesday as Texas A&M shut out Arizona 3-0 to earn their way to the 16-team super regional round of the NCAA baseball tournament. Michael Wacha got the start and threw seven dominant innings, allowing five hits and no walks. Nick Fleece and Ross Stripling finished the job for A&M, throwing the final two innings and facing just two above the minimum.

Leadoff man Tyler Naquin singled, doubled and walked for the Aggies, and Jacob House doubled in two runs in a three-run eighth inning rally that finally ended the scoreless standoff.

The Aggies will move on to face national #5 seed Florida State in Tallahassee in the super regional round next weekend. Game 1 is scheduled for Saturday at 3:30 CDT, and Game 2 will be Sunday at 3:00. Game 3 will be Monday if necessary. The Seminoles advanced in their regional by winning three straight games.
