The Texas Rangers continue interleague play on Tuesday as they head to Houston to take on the Astros as the Lone Star Series continues. The series is the second between the two teams as part of the Lone Star Series, with the winner of the series receiving the Silver Boot. The Rangers took two of three from the Astros in Arlington and will need to do so again in Houston in order to claim victory in the Lone Star series and win the Silver Boot.
C.J. Wilson gets the start for the Rangers as they look to snap a two-game losing streak. Wilson will be looking for his eighth win of the season as his record currently stands at 7-3. Wilson's ERA and WHIP match his record as well - with an ERA of 3.17 and a WHIP of 1.23. Wilson is also striking out batters at a solid rate, with 97 strikeouts in 110.2 innings of work on the season.
Jordan Lyles will get the start for the Astros, as the rookie righty looks to pick up his first career win. Lyles is 0-2 with a 4.20 ERA and 1.17 WHIP on the season.
To snap their losing streak tonight, Texas will obviously need to win on the road, where the Rangers have scuffled this season. Texas is 18-22 away from Arlington - and they'll be playing without the designated hitter tonight since the game is in a National League stadium.
First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. CT.
