Interleague Continues As Rangers Host Mets

The Texas Rangers continue both their homestand and interleague on Friday night as they play host to the New York Mets.

Texas recently concluded a series against the Houston Astros on Wednesday. Texas took two of three from their in-state "rivals," but, lost the last game as Neftali Feliz blew the save,

On Friday night, the Rangers send Matt Harrison to the mound looking to rebound from their most recent loss. Harrison has suffered losses in two of his last three starts (with a no decision in the other) to drop his record to 5-6 on the year. Despite the sub-.500 record, Harrison has a 3.16 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and has held opponents to a .237 average.

The Mets will send Mike Pelfrey to the mound on Friday night to take on the Rangers' offense. Pelfrey is the owner of a 4-5 record to go along with a 4.70 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and .263 BAA. Pelfrey has only 50 strikeouts in 90 innings of work this year, so Texas can expect to have a slew of balls in play tonight.

First pitch in Arlington is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. CT.
