2011 College World Series: Saturday Schedule

The 2011 College World Series gets underway on Saturday, and the Texas Longhorns are scheduled to take the field on Saturday night.

The College World Series will officially get underway at 1 p.m. CDT, when the Vanderbilt Commodores take on the North Carolina Tar Heels. Both teams were ranked as one of the top eight seeds when regional play began, with the Tar Heels being ranked No. 3 and Commodores being ranked No. 6.

The Texas Longhorns join the fray on Saturday as well, when they take on the Florida Gators. Exactly like Vanderbilt and North Carolina, both Texas and Florida were ranked in the top eight seeds when the regional tournament began. The Gators hold the edge, though (not surprising if you've watched Texas' offense recently), as they're the second overall seed in the tournament while the Longhorns are the seventh.

Texas and Florida are scheduled to get underway at 6 p.m. CDT.
