The Texas Longhorns are headed back to Omaha for the College World Series. Texas defeated Arizona State on Sunday by a 4-2 margin to complete their Super Regional and advance to the College World Series.
It hasn't been an easy road for the Longhorns, as Texas needed five games to advance out of the regional round before needing three to advance past Arizona State.
Still, it's the result that matters - and the Longhorns are going back to the College World Series.
Texas is slated to face the Florida Gators in their first game in Omaha, which will come on Saturday. The Gators are the No. 2 national seed, so they'll be favored over the No. 7 Longhorns.
Vanderbilt and North Carolina will play earlier in the day on Saturday and officially kickoff the College World Series. Vandy and UNC will start at 1 p.m. CDT while the Longhorns will face off against the Gators at 6 p.m. CDT.
