Texas Baseball: Taylor Jungmann Does It Again For No. 7 Longhorns

No. 7 Texas took two of three from No. 14 Oklahoma this weekend, led by ace Taylor Jungmann. Jungmann threw a complete game four-hit shutout Friday, striking out nine and walking one. Leadoff man Brandon Loy tripled, singled twice, and scored two runs for Texas in the 5-0 win. The win was Augie Garrido's 1800th career game. Texas won Game 2 of the series behind six strong innings from Cole Green. Oklahoma avoided the sweep Sunday with a 5-2 win. Texas has a midweek game in Austin against Prairie View A&M before heading to Lincoln for a weekend series with Nebraska. After that series, Texas will have just their one last conference series with Texas A&M before the Big 12 conference tournament.

Meanwhile Texas A&M lost two of three against Missouri. The Tigers got to Aggies ace Jon Stilson Friday for six runs in 6.2 innings. The Aggies saved a game, winning 3-2 Sunday in seven innings. TCU won two against BYU in Provo Thursday and Friday before having their finale cancelled by weather. The Frogs travel to Stillwater to take on Oklahoma State for a big series next weekend.
