Texas Rangers Vs. Baltimore Orioles: Rangers Embark On First Road Trip Of 2011

Texas Rangers (6-0) at Baltimore Orioles (5-1)
Probable Starting Pitchers: Colby Lewis (1-0, 4.50 ERA), Zach Britton (1-0, 1.50 ERA)

The Texas Rangers are the last undefeated team standing right now. The defending American League champions swept the Boston Red Sox and Seattle Mariners in their first homestand of the season to jump out to a 6-0 record. Now, the Rangers embark on their first road trip of the season, stopping in Baltimore first to take on the Baltimore Orioles.

Colby Lewis will take the mound for the Rangers on Friday night. Lewis was credited with the win in Saturday's contest against the Red Sox, pitching six innings while allowing three runs and striking out four. While wins are hardly a just way to judge a pitcher's performance, I'm sure Lewis will gladly take them after finishing last season 12-13, a record that was not at all indicative of his performance.

Texas' hot offense will look to stay hot against rookie Zach Britton. Britton won in his big league debut against the Rays, limiting Tampa Bay's offense to one run over six innings of work. Britton struck out six while issuing three walks and allowing only three hits.

The Rays, though, have had an anemic offense so far this year. Texas' offense has been anything but, with a team OPS of .957 through six games.

First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. EST, 6:05 p.m. CST.
