Texas Rangers (15-10) at Oakland Athletics (12-13)
Probable Starting Pitchers: C.J. Wilson (3-0, 3.51 ERA), Trevor Cahill (3-0, 2.30 ERA)
The Texas Rangers open up a seven game West coast trip tonight in Oakland as they take on the A's. The Rangers, who just dropped three of four to Toronto, will look to create more space in the AL West standings on this trip as they'll be taking on two AL West foes in Oakland and Seattle.
C.J. Wilson gets the ball tonight for the Rangers. Wilson received a win in his last start against Kansas City, pitching seven innings, allowing four runs on eight hits while walking one and striking out 10. Wilson has been a bit more hittable this year, with batters hitting .277 against him, which is 60 points higher than opponents hit off of him last year.
Wilson will be opposed by Trevor Cahill for Oakland. Cahill has been very good this year, posting a 3-0 record to go along with a 2.30 ERA and 1.02 WHIP. The 23 year old righty will be looking for his third win in as many starts, as he's picked up the W in each of his last two.
First pitch is scheduled for 9:05 p.m. CDT, 7:05 p.m. PDT.
