Texas Rangers Vs. Toronto Blue Jays: Rangers Look To Stay Hot

Toronto Blue Jays (9-12) at Texas Rangers (14-7)
Probable Starting Pitchers: Kyle Drabek (1-0, 3.00 ERA), Colby Lewis (1-2, 5.82 ERA)

Following a weekend sweep of the Kansas City Royals, the Texas Rangers are back on top in the AL West. Texas, who had dropped two of three the Los Angeles Angels, picked up three games on their rivals this weekend as the Angels were swept by the Boston Red Sox. Now, the Rangers will look to build on their two and a half game lead in the AL West as they play host to the Toronto Blue Jays.

Colby Lewis will take the mound for Texas tonight, making only his fourth start of the year. Lewis, who made his first start since returning from paternity leave last Tuesday, was hit hard by Los Angeles, allowing four runs on five hits while walking three in five innings.

Lewis will be opposed by Toronto's highly touted Kyle Drabek, who was the main chip acquired in the trade that sent Roy Halladay to Philadelphia. Drabek has posted a 1-0 record in four starts to go along with a 3.00 ERA and 1.42 WHIP. Drabek has been tough to hit, holding batters to a .226 BAA, but walks have done him in as he's issued 15 free passes in 24 innings.

First pitch is slated for 8:05 p.m. EST, 7:05 p.m. CST.
