March Madness: 2011 NCAA Final Four Schedule

No, the Texas Longhorns won't be playing in the Final Four this year, but the Final Four still has a pair of interesting match ups to offer us, so here's a quick look at the Final Four schedule for tonight.

At least one Cinderella playing in the NCAA Championship game on Monday as Virginia Commonwealth University takes on Butler in the first 2011 Final Four game, with a scheduled tipoff time of 6:09 p.m. EST. VCU has won the most games ever (five) to advance to the Final Four, as they were part of the new First Four round. Many bracketologers questioned whether VCU should ever have been in the tournament, but after a trip to the Final Four, the skeptics have been silenced.

While the first game features two Cinderellas, the second game features two powerhouse programs as the Kentucky Wildcats take on the Connecticut Huskies. UConn is on a near-historic run, winning five games in five days to win the Big East tournament and have now won four games in the NCAA tournament to advance to the Final Four. Scheduled tipoff time is for 8:49 p.m. EST.
