Dallas Mavericks Vs. Minnesota Timberwolves: Mavs Look To Bounce Back

Dirk Nowitzki and the Mavericks have an opportunity to jump back in the win column quickly as they travel to Minnesota to take on the TWolves tonight. A 20-point lead disintegrated late last night and Zach Randolph handed Dallas their second loss in 20 games with his last second winning, spoiling a night that looked to be a waltz out of town for the Mavericks.

Tonight, they will contend with all-star Kevin Love without Tyson Chandler, but with newly inserted perimeter players Rodrigue Beaubois, Peja Stojakovic and Corey Brewer that much more integrated in the rotation. Brewer returns to Minnesota for the first time since his trade to New York and subsequent buy-out.

Dallas lost a game in the standings to the Lakers, who trounced the Spurs in San Antonio. They now lead LA by two games in the loss column and were unable to shave a game off of their five-game loss-column deficit. The Spurs are off until Wednesday, when they will host the Pistons.
