Smoke turned into fire this afternoon as Garland police issued a felony arrest warrant for Bucs corner Aqib Talib, according to ESPN.com.
↵↵↵Police in a Dallas suburb have issued an arrest warrant for Tampa Bay Buccaneers cornerback Aqib Talib accusing him of firing a gun at his sister's boyfriend.
↵Garland police said Tuesday they believe Talib and his mother, Okolo Talib, shot at the man March 21. The man wasn't injured. Earlier that day, the man had been listed as a suspect in a disturbance and was charged with assault and interference with an emergency phone call from that incident.

Talib went to Richardson Berkner before going to Kansas and becoming a first round pick by Tampa Bay. He was a consideration for the Cowboys in that 2008 draft (that's the one in which they picked Felix Jones and Mike Jenkins at 22 and 25), but he went at #20, and Jenkins fell to 25. He also might be available to all soon, since this isn't his first run-in with police. Two years ago he beat up a taxi driver and was also charged with resisting arrest. The NFL suspended him for one game for that one.
