So, we had one major upset in the second half of the Sweet 16 yesterday as the Kentucky Wildcats knocked off the overall top-seeded Ohio State Buckeyes, further ruining most brackets. The Elite Eight is now set, and the bracket is pretty easy to breakdown.
In the West region, Connecticut takes on Arizona for the right to advance to the Final Four in Houston. UConn is the third seed and beat second-seeded San Diego State Aztecs on Thursday while the Wildcats knocked off the West region's top seed in Duke. The winner of the West region's final will take on the winner of the East regions final, which is North Carolina against Kentucky, but that game won't take place until Sunday.
The Southeast region pits Billy Donovan's Florida Gators against the once-again Cinderella Butler Bulldogs. Butler has upset both Pittsburgh and Wisconsin to reach the Elite Eight and look to make it a second consecutive trip to the Final Four. The winner here will take on the winner of the Southwest region, which will be held on Sunday and pit Kansas against VCU.
The television schedule for the Elite Eight is after the jump.
