FC Dallas, Chicago Fire Play To 1-1 Draw

Frisco, TX (Sports Network) – Milton Rodriguez scored as 10-man FC Dallas tied the Chicago Fire, 1-1, at Pizza Hut Park in the season opener for both clubs on Saturday in Major League Soccer.

Diego Chaves scored the opener for Chicago (0-0-1) in the 17th, but Rodriguez answered one minute later for Dallas (0-0-1) to cap the scoring.

Dallas, which lost the MLS Cup final last season to the Colorado Rapids 2-1 in overtime, had Brek Shea sent off early after halftime, but Kevin Hartman made a few good saves to preserve a point.

Chicago hosts Sporting Kansas City in its next match on March 26. Dallas hosts the San Jose Earthquakes on March 26.
