Super Bowl Commercials: Eminem, Chrysler, Taxpayers Create Effective Ad

Along with the Volkswagen Darth Vader commercial last night in Super Bowl XLV, I do have to say I enjoyed Chrysler's commercial with Eminem riding through Detroit in a nice new Chrysler before pulling up at Fox Theatre where Eminem promptly gets out of his car to say, "This is Motor City and this is what we do."

That "Lose Yourself" was in the commercial as the soundtrack to it made the commercial to me, but, overall I thought it was pretty effective with showing what Detroit has been through before trying to help inspire Detroit to rise up out of their problems.

At the end of the day, it's just a commercial, nothing that will actually change America or Detroit, but hey, it's still better than the Chevrolet commercials.

The only annoying thing about this ad is that it cost nine million dollars. Chrysler took bailout money, so we all helped fund this commercial. I wish they'd ask for my input next time, though.
