Super Bowl Commercials: Kim Kardashian, Joan Rivers Are Boring

As expected, there were plenty of lame Super Bowl ads last night during Super Bowl XLV. While Darth Vader and Volkswagen may have hit a home run, there were plenty of whiffs last night on the commercial front.

GoDaddy revealed the latest and greatest GoDaddy girl. After being in absolutely zero anticipation for the duration of the commercial as Danica Patrick rambled on about something, it was revealed that the amazingly annoying Joan Rivers is the new GoDaddy girl. 

The question this begs is simply, does anybody care about Joan Rivers or GoDaddy? No? OK, moving on.

We weren't finished with uncomfortable commercials, as Kim Kardashian and Sketchers were pretty, well, awkward. Sketchers showed Kardashian working out in a sweat before revealing that her real workout tool is her Sketchers shapeups. Can somebody remind me why the Kardashians are famous again? Didn't think so. 

Both of these commercials tried pretty hard to be shocking and racy but they just came off as desperate and boring. Not too surprising.
