2011 Super Bowl: Christina Aguilera Apologizes For National Anthem

If you thought the Star Spangled Banner was missing a line last night prior to kick off at Super Bowl XLV, you are correct. Christina Aguilera issued an apology today, undoubtedly feeling embarrassed for screwing up the National Anthem:

The Grammy-winning singer released a statement soon after, saying, "I can only hope that everyone could feel my love for this country and that the true spirit of its anthem still came through."

Well, at least she says she loves the country. Maybe she should love it a little more and remember all the words next time. All kidding aside, I'm sure she does feel pretty bad about it and it is unfortunate to see it happen.

The NFL should have decided to let Aguilera redeem herself and sing the Star Spangled Banner ten times during the halftime show instead of subjecting us to the Black Eyed Peas.
