2011 Super Bowl Pregame: Obama, O'Reilly Interview Highlights Pregame Extravaganza

The Super Bowl, especially recently, always has pregame shows that last hours too long – and Super Bowl XLV is no exception. FOX’s coverage of the Super Bowl is essentially a day-long activity before finally culminating during kickoff at 6:29 EST.

The highlight for today’s pregame show will be a political event, for better or for worse. President Barack Obama will sit down with Bill O’Reilly for an exclusive interview on FOX at 4:45 EST, 3:45 CST.

The President sat down last year for an interview with Katie Couric – who works for CBS since the Super Bowl was on CBS last year. Since FOX has the Super Bowl this year, Obama will be sitting down with Fox News’ Bill O’Reilly.

Obama called Fox News “destructive for the long-term growth of a country.” If O’Reilly decides to bring that up, things could get pretty entertaining. I don’t expect O’Reilly to go easy on Obama, despite the fact that this interview is meant for the Super Bowl audience.
