Super Bowl Predicitons: SB Nation Bloggers That Picked The Packers

Think about these next two posts as equal time during a Political election. SB Nation poled their football bloggers for their take on the big game. Most of them supported Green Bay, apparently. Here are some of them explaining why they chose the Packers.

Obviously, Brandon of AcmePackingCompany.com: I know the Packers offense can explode for big points against very good teams. Such as the times they scored 45 against the Giants and 48 against the Falcons. But the more I think about this game, the more likely it seems to be a close one. Packers 21, Steelers 20

Bruce Raffel, BaltimoreBeatdown.com: While this might seem like "sour grapes" or just plain old jealousy, I see the Packers putting an offensive show on Sunday as they overwhelm the Steelers in the Super Bowl. Packers 38, Steelers 17

Dave Halprin, BloggingTheBoys.com: As a NFC guy, and a Cowboys fan, I have to root against the Steelers winning another Lombardi Trophy. Most of all, I'm rooting for a competitive game that goes down to the wire. Packers 28, Steelers 27

Alfie Crow, BigCatCountry.com: I think the Packers have the defensive edge because of the woes of the Steelers offensive line. Steelers let some teams stay in games and that's dangerous with the Packers offense. Packers 30, Steelers 17

Greg Knopping, PatsPulpit.com: In a game featuring two of the most balanced teams in recent memory, the Packers get the edge over the Steelers in a tight game, as Aaron Rodgers wins the MVP, claiming his own stake in Packer and NFL history. Packers 24, Steelers 20

Dan Kadar, MockingTheDraft.com: It seems everyone thinks this game will either be high scoring or low scoring. Why not somewhere in the middle? Green Bay's Aaron Rodgers looks like he's on too much of a roll for a suspect Steelers secondary to stop. Packers 27, Steelers 21

Matty I, ThePhinsider.com: I picked the Packers back in August and I'm sticking with them now. I believe Aaron Rodgers and the Packers offense will be able to spread out Pittsburgh's defense and have success throwing the football. Packers 27, Steelers 24

Tim, BattleRedBlog.com: It's hard for me to put my faith in a team that prominently features Dom Capers, but here goes: Packers 24, Steelers 23

The Packers certainly seem to be a popular choice right about now. Something about Aaron Rodgers inspires confidence in those who have nothing to lose by giving their opinion on the game. We'll address the bloggers who picked the Steelers in the next post.
