Texas A&M picked up a four-star recruit from Louisiana on signing day, but not without some confusion and extra effort. Floyd Raven had decided to attend A&M late in the recruiting process, but his mom didn't get that memo.
↵↵↵"Long story short, my mom thought she was helping me out," Raven said in an interview with The Associated Press on Wednesday evening. "I wasn't home and she sent it in. I never told her I had changed my mind to Texas A&M. I forgive her for it. It was an honest mistake."

If it was an honest mistake, Houston Nutt, the recipient of her signature, saw it as her desire guiding her.
↵↵↵"His mom. Mom really wanted him here, David," UM coach Houston Nutt said, smiling, to Associated Press reporter David Brandt during today's news conference. "Mom wanted him here in the worst way.

At any rate, Raven did manage to complete his letter of intent process with the Aggies Wednesday night and did not receive any resistance from Nutt. Raven gives A&M two badly needed high end secondary signees, joining Howard Matthews.
