According to Marc Stein, the Dallas Mavericks are interested Corey Brewer.
↵Brewer was traded to the New York Knicks last week as part of the three-team trade that sent Carmelo to New York.
↵Brewer would provide additional depth to the Mavericks’ already deep roster and give them an additional wing defender which is always nice to have.
↵The problem with Brewer is that his offensive game is non-existent. His field goal percentage has been hovering around 40% for his career and his shot selection is horrendous.
↵Having said that, his shot selection could improve as a player on a contending team.
↵He was with the Minnesota Timberwolves after all, not exactly chucking shots away from perennial all-stars…
↵The Mavericks will face stiff competition for Brewer’s services as the Bulls, Celtics, Spurs and Thunder are all likely to pursue him as a free agent.
