It looks like the Carmelo Anthony trade saga will be coming to an end shortly. The New York Knicks have reportedly made their final offer for the Denver star, and that the Knicks are "not going any further with offers to Denver."
↵It is believed that New York's offer to Denver includes Raymond Felton, Danilo Gallinari, Wilson Chandler, Eddy Curry and a draft picks. Aside from Anthony, the Knicks would also receive Chauncey Billups, Renaldo Balkman and Shelden Williams. Anthony, of course, is the main piece to the trade and the Knicks would be banking on Anthony signing an extension to be the face of the Knicks for years to come.
↵The New Jersey, soon to be Brooklyn, Nets have a tentative deal in place with the Nuggets, but will only pull the trigger on a trade if Anthony would sign an extension with the Nets. High ranking officials with the Nets met with Anthony on Saturday but they did not come away confident that he would sign an extension, making a deal with New Jersey unlikely. Even further, the New York Times is reporting that Anthony simply won't sign an extension with the Nets if he is traded there.
↵It's looking more and more likely that Anthony will be a member of the Knicks.
