The Oklahoma Sooners have apparently finished national signing day with a late loss, a late steal and one undecided three-star player. Early in the day, defensive lineman Cooper Washington signed with Texas Tech, completing his switch from OU, but the Sooners received good news later in the morning, as Coppell's Bennett Okotcha signed with them rather than Notre Dame. Nila Karisitati of Euless did not announce his decision during Trinity's signing ceremony and appears headed for post-signing day still undecided.
It all lands Oklahoma somewhere in the second ten in school rankings. Rivals has them at #16, and Scout ranks them #17. The class is highlighted by five-star Texan Trey Metoyer, whom Rivals ranks as the #12 player in the country, Texan Brandon Williams, who ranks #14, and defensive lineman Jordan Phillips of Kansas.
