Robert Griffin III Wins Final Heismanpundit.com Straw Poll

Over the last four seasons, the final straw poll at Heismanpundit.com has correctly predicted which player will win the Heisman trophy. If the pattern continues, Baylor QB Robert Griffin III will bring home the school's first Heisman trophy, as he was the clear leader over Stanford QB Andrew Luck and Alabama RB Trent Richardson.

The poll is comprised of thirteen actual Heisman voters from around the country, and Griffin, who received eight first-place votes, was the only player on every ballot.

He finished with 38 cumulative points, easily out-distancing Luck (23) and Richardson (10):

"Griffin III been spectacular from the opener and finished with a flourish," said one voter.

"He was the no-brainer choice," said another.

Griffin, who led the Bears to their most successful season in fifteen years of Big 12 play, opened the year strong with a nationally-televised upset of TCU before racking up a litany of statistical achievements while leading Baylor to victories over both Oklahoma and Texas.

He completed 72.8% of his passes for 3,998 yards with 36 TD's and only 6 INT's, while also rushing for 644 yards and 9 TD's.
