The Sooners won’t take many positives from their blowout at the hands of the Oklahoma State Cowboys, but they did manage a late 84-yard drive to reduce the embarrassment a little. The eight-play drive was capped by a 28-yard touchdown run by Blake Bell, after the Sooners managed the first 47 yards on the ground.
The Cowboys still dominated the day, thanks to five Oklahoma turnovers and a brilliant rushing game that totaled 256 yards. Joseph Randle led the way with 19 carries, 151 yards and 2 TD. Jeremy Smith added ten carries for 92 yards and two scores of his own. Justin Blackmon didn’t find the end zone, but he did his part, hauling in ten catches for 95 yards.
