Oklahoma State Vs. Oklahoma Score Update: Cowboys Lead Sooners By 41 After Three Quarters

The Oklahoma State Cowboys are irrepressible. They’ve turned to the run in the second half and, already leading 41-3, saw their backs grind out 56 yards to run the clock to near the end of the third quarter. The drive gave them a 44-3 lead, after Quinn Sharp hit a 34-yard field goal, his third of the game.

The Cowboys have forced four turnovers, leading to 24 points. Despite being outpassed by Landry Jones, they’ve run for 184 yards on 25 carries. The Sooners have managed just 41 on 23 through three quarters.

The Sooners will have to fight to keep things from getting even uglier in the fourth quarter, as the Cowboys will want to make a point with BCS voters and computers. They hope to overtake Alabama for a spot against LSU in the BCS title game, but need to make up a significant amount of ground.
