Rangers catcher Yorvit Torrealba has been suspended for 66 games from the Venezuelan League for smacking the home plate umpire in the face late last week.
↵The suspension is the equivalent to a full season in the Venezuelan League, so don't expect to see Torrealba suiting up anytime soon in South America. That said, it's unlikely that the altercation will result in any type of suspension from Major League Baseball. Roger Goodell, as far as I know, isn't in charge of baseball suspensions.
