Texas A&M Schedule News: First SEC Game Leaked, Cowboys Stadium Game In Trouble

Christmas Day brought us two pieces of interesting Texas A&M football schedule news. First, I Am The 12th Man notesthat the Aggies' first SEC game date and opponent seems to have leaked through various sources. A&M will host Florida on September 8 at Kyle field. They speculate that they will play one nonconference game, then jump into the start of the SEC schedule right around Labor Day. Florida should be a fascinating opponent, as they're not back to the top of the hill, but they'll offer a legit SEC challenge.

The other piece of news is on the negative end, as the annual Texas A&M vs Arkansas - now a conference showdown, of course - at Cowboys Stadium hasn't done well financially and may have to move out of the neutral site. The move will probably be blamed on school preference, but it's a shame for both schools. Dallas is a big recruiting ground for both programs, and the high profile game at the high profile venue has seemed like a real positive. I guess Aggies will have to get used to finding a way to get to Fayetteville once again.
