Cameron Ridley Update: Rumors Swirl As Texas Commit Doesn't Sign

Cameron Ridley, the key player in Texas basketball's 2012 recruiting class, will not sign with the school on National Signing Day Wednesday:

From : Since August there have been rumors going around about Cameron Ridley and the possibilities of reclassifying. Word is he is not expected to sign today. I asked his AAU coach Keith White if anything was set up for him to sign this week and he responded, "Not yet."

While it doesn't necessarily mean anything, Ridley's reluctance to sign immediately has to worry Barnes and his staff, who would have loved to focus all their attention on the class of 2013 but will now need to go back and convince their star recruit to sign.

Basketball recruiting is a cutthroat world where the whims of teenagers can determine the fates of multi-million coaches, and nothing is guaranteed until there's a signature on the dotted line.
