As we begin the first week of November in college football, its obvious that some teams have earned respect while others are still in search of it.
The Texas Longhorns have recovered from their two losses to the Oklahoma Sooners and the Oklahoma State Cowboys, as they now sit at No. 21 in this week's AP poll and have a 7-2 record to stand on. With winnable games remaining on the Longhorns' schedule, could Mack Brown make this a 10-win season with a roster full of freshmen and sophomores?
For Gary Patterson's TCU Horned Frogs, they too have a 7-2 record along with the Longhorns. Yet, they still sit outside of the AP Top 25 this week, although they are ranked No. 24 in the coaches poll. TCU will have a chance to prove the doubters wrong as they will travel to Boise State in a few weeks to get a big win on the national stage.
